About The Program
A collaborative project designed to provide international students & young doctors with valuable opportunities for volunteering, shadowing & community service tailored to align with the academic goals & organizational objectives of all participants
Who Should Join
The program is particularly beneficial for international students & young medical professionals seeking to enhance their professional development by active engagement in volunteering & community support activities within resource-limited regions
This experience can significantly expand their knowledge base & bolster their resumes
Program OverView
In-Hospital Clinical Shadowing
The program is coordinated in with St. Francis Hospital Nsambya & the College of Health Sciences at the University of Makerere
Ambulance Teams Shadowing
The program is coordinated in partnership with the Association of Ambulance Professionals of Uganda (AAPU)
Volunteering
The program is coordinated in partnership with Sudan Doctors for Peace & Development (SDPD)
Educating
Get certified in BLS, 1st Aid, Bleeding Control & transfer these skills to the community to enhance public awareness & educate individuals on delivering timely first aid while awaiting advanced medical assistance
S.E.R.V.E cOURSE
Modular online training for individuals involved in dealing with refugees & community members of all ages & levels
The modules covers safety, appearance, approach, behaviour, communication, empathy, support, respect, building confidence, equity, diversity, tolerance & professionalism
A subsequent practice completion session on the first day of the program is mandatory for completion of training & certification
